Full-Stack Engineer · Founder · Builder
Two-time Meta SWE intern and founder of UtzilCare - a clinic management SaaS reimagining healthcare across Latin America. Available for remote engineering roles worldwide.
Private clinics across Latin America manage patients through notebooks and group chats. UtzilCare is their operating system - scheduling, records, billing, reminders, and analytics - built for how clinics actually work in Guatemala, Mexico, and beyond.
NSF I-Corps validated. 5 confirmed clinics on waitlist. $25,500 non-dilutive funding raised.
Accessibility-first indoor navigation app for the University of Michigan campus, built after 50+ interviews with students and staff. Real-time routing with floor-level detection and door-by-door directions.
Two summers at Meta: grew from Meta University intern to GenAI Creations engineer. Shipped AI Stickers, Summarize Chat with AI, and 3 full-stack features across React, PHP, Kotlin, and Swift. Ranked top 2 intern.
Full-stack appreciation board app where users create and share digital boards with messages, GIFs, and themed categories. Features board creation, search, filtering, sorting, upvoting, and user accounts. Deployed on Render.
Movie discovery app with genre filtering, favorites tracking, and a predictive search algorithm that suggests titles in real time. Integrates trailers and watched checkboxes.
Browser game that teaches web accessibility through interactive challenges. Fully compatible with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation. Used in web design workshops.
Designed illustrated post-surgery instructions for Guatemalan patients undergoing reconstructive plastic surgery. Served as surgical interpreter, interview leader, and caregiver across 700+ patient interactions. Research published twice in the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association journal.
Conducted research on antiracist and culturally responsive mathematics assessments to reduce bias in K–12 educational measurement. Designed 150+ inclusive math problems with 25 equity-driven criteria grounded in students' lived experiences and linguistic diversity.
Trained ML models to detect road objects and classify breast cancer biopsy cells. Achieved 95% accuracy in road object detection and high precision in cancer cell classification.
C++ text analysis program that determines reading grade level by comparing words against grade-level vocabulary databases. Classifies 1st–12th grade difficulty for passages up to 500 words.
Designed and programmed robotic and magnetic control systems to study soft robotics. Assembled a Dorna 2 robotic arm, built a magnetic field control system combining 3D printing, Arduino microcontrollers, and custom coils to achieve controlled bending, drilling, and translation.
Designed and fabricated a device that transforms energy with 15% more efficiency in microgravity. Tested on a zero-G flight. Fulfilled its purpose with 97% accuracy vs. Earth payload.
Led an engineering summer camp teaching young women in Guatemala through hands-on projects - circuits, 3D-printed gears, laser cutting. Partnered with the US Embassy. 5 girls received full-ride university scholarships.
Found a correlation between altitude where Guatemalan maize is grown and protein concentration. Collected 15 samples nationwide, measured with biuret and spectrophotometer. Linked high malnutrition rates to low maize protein concentration at lower altitudes.
Designed a sustainable cook stove using culturally significant materials for rural Guatemalan families. Reduced indoor CO₂ concentration by 65%, affordable at $25. Built and tested with CO₂ sensors and synthetic lung PH measurements.
I'm a first-generation Guatemalan software engineer graduating from the University of Michigan in May 2026. I've spent four years at the intersection of technology, healthcare, equity, and community - building things that actually work for people who've been left out.
From flying in zero-gravity to test hardware I built, to surgical interpreting for children in Guatemala, to shipping GenAI features to millions at Meta - every project on this page connects to the same thread: technology should solve real problems for real people.
I'm seeking fully remote, location-independent full-stack engineering roles that let me work from Guatemala, Mexico, and beyond - and keep building UtzilCare evenings and weekends.
Open to remote full-stack engineering roles, international contractor arrangements, and conversations about UtzilCare.
